What you will learn
- play a carol on two chords from the first verse to the last
- count in three and play the waltz strum with the right hand
- we will try to keep you playing in time
- play Silent Night with barre F, and we will show how to get around that chord with a capo
- pick a key so everyone can sing comfortably
We start with two chords, then raise the difficulty slowly. After six lessons you will be playing carols at the Christmas table.
Before you start
- The guitar is tuned.
- The C and G grips. If you do not have them yet, start with “The first week with a guitar”, lesson 2.
- Paper and a pen if you want to note the keys you will later sing in with your family.
Who it is for
For everyone who wants to play and sing carols! Even if you are just starting, you can play a first carol on two chords. If you already know a bit, or you are coming back to the guitar, we will work through the other carols too, and then it is just fun and practice with our app!
